First Post!

So this is my first post! I'm so excited to start blogging about anything and everything that interests me. I love makeup and everything beauty related. This will be something I will definitely blog about. I would love to hear your ideas and comments as well. I ordered a few things from MAC today and cannot wait for them to get here so I can try them out!

  1. Hi there, I would like to mention that the Estee Lauder Double Wear Stay in Place liquid foundation looks absolutely awful if not applied correctly. So, you are right about the cakey look. This is how I apply it: First, Estee Lauder serum (any of them) under eyes and on face, moisturizers, Primer (essential, I use Lancome or Pur Minerals green), concealer, foundation, and blush. If the foundation is to look natural I have to apply small amounts and build it. I have even (when my skin is very dry) placed moisturizer over the foundation after it dries. It looks great and gives my skin a natural glow. If you want mix a little primer into the foundation then apply it, this seems to work too. This is a good summer foundation because I don't sweat it off like everything else. It stays in place until you remove it.

You do need a makeup remover lotion or in my case I use an eye makeup remover and use Neutrogena Face Wipes to wipe it all off or a cleanser from Clinique, Estee Lauder or Elizabeth Arden to finish cleansing. I suppose Olive Oil would remove it well too, but I have not tried it yet. This makeup is water resistant but a light oil that is in some eye makeup removers seems to remove it. In other words, save your money on makeup remover there are less expensive and effective ways to remove this makeup. BTW, I am 60 and live in a very hot climate. I hope this helps.
